The Toronto Salsa Practice is a relaxed, friendly gathering of salsa enthusiasts. It's an opportunity to practice stuff you're not totally confident about yet, learn some new moves, and meet other salsa dancers of all levels. There is no formal instruction; instead, we help each other improve our dancing - or we just dance for fun. The TSP started in January 2001.
Some of us show up for every practice; others occasionally. Dancers of all levels attend, from beginners to professionals, and everybody dances with people of every level.
We change partners often - usually with every song - so you get to dance with people with a wide variety of styles and abilities. You don't have to bring a partner; there are lots of people to dance with. Women are encouraged to ask people to dance.
We meet at Trinity-St. Paul's church, at 427 Bloor Street West - on the south side of Bloor, just west of Spadina. We don't always use the same room, so when you come in, look for our sign, or ask at the glass-fronted booth on your left.
We meet every Saturday afternoon, from 3:30 to 5:30.
Admission is $7.00.
